However, our Adichunchanagiri Institute of Business Management, promoted by Sri Adichunchanagiri Education Trust, with the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Paramapoojya Jagadguru Padmabhushana Dr.Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, is different since its inception in allowing diversified learning flexibility in the education system, and is proactive towards adopting the changes in the system.

Post NEP-2020, the institute got a wide variety of opportunities to bring inter-disciplinary, intra-disciplinary, and skill-based professional courses such as BBA, B.Com, and BCA with equity, efficiency, and academic excellence. Our college includes innovation, improvement, and paradigm shift in learning and teaching pedagogy, evaluation systems to imbibe confidence among learners, and to compete successfully in a competitive environment.

Professor Dr. Prakasha Rao K.S. was appointed as the Founding Principal of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Business Management in 2010. Earlier to this Profession Dr. Rao is the Head of the PG department of Management studies at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikkamagaluru. Professor Rao has academic qualifications of B.Com., M.Com.,M.Phil, M.F.M, MBA (HR), PGDHRM from the S.K.University, S.V.University, Pondicherry University, Assam down town University and MIT Pune respectively. Professor Rao was Conferred with a doctoral degree from CMJ University, Shillong for his Thesis on “Micro Credit and Rural Women Empowerment – ref to Bellary district of Karnataka”, in 2013.

Professor Rao’s areas of interest include – Capital markets and Investment Management, Financial Management, Microcredit, HRM, General Management, higher education, and spirituality. He has over twenty publications to his credit and participates in various Faculty Development Programs, Academic Leadership training programs, Workshops, Seminars, and National and International conferences. He has co-edited a book titled “Emerging Trends in Business and Economy”. He guided hundreds of MBA Project works and was recognized as the Best Internship guide in 2008 at ICFAI National College.

Professor Rao has held positions of Member of BOE of VTU for two terms, Member of the Academic Council of Kuvempu University, and Honorable Governing Council member of Kuvempu University for a term. Dr. Rao is a member and Co-Chairman of BOS of Adichunchanagiri University, B.G.Nagara. Known for his simplicity and humble nature – Dr.Rao believes in a continuous teaching-learning process serving AIBM since its inception with the blessings of his holiness, Paramapoojya, Padmabhushana, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr.Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji and Sri Sri Sri Dr.Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji.
